Dear Dad,
I am going to miss you so much. Thanks for making me laugh until I (almost) pee-ed my pants by sticking those stupid chopsticks up your nose. Thanks for the terrible water gun fights that went on endlessly on warm summer days and for the root beer floats after the marathon wood chopping sessions.
Thanks for everything that you have taught me about the world and life.
I will miss your bear hugs and your crazy laugh….

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Your father has had such a profound impact on the lives of so many people from all over the world, but who will miss him more than his family? I know that I’m but one of many here that have been thinking of you, OJ, Elling and your mother Judy.

I heard only today about the loss of Jon. I am sincerely sorry Maren. I have never met anyone like him since and it is only now, much later, that I understand how incredible he was. Sorry.
