The sharing, caring scientist
Bryan and I were lucky enough to photograph Jon on 3 seperate trips. He welcomed us and we joined in the fun, watching a man who threw himself wholeheatedly into everything he did. We were there when he removed the heart from a humpback whale, losing his credit card somewhere in its entrails. We were there when we got lost out at sea in a zodiac and had to hang around an unlicensed fishing boat until we were picked up by ‘Atlantic Whaler’. None us ever remebered the name of the illegal fishing boat, we will always remeber Jon with love. We have put together a lightbox of pictures of him in the early 80’s and 90’s.
