Trusted colleague

I met Jon initially when I was organizing a workshop on bycatch for the first World Fisheries Congress in Athens, Greece, in the early 1990s. Jon was an ardent supporter of bycatch management, esp. as related to cetaceans, and was most helpful in planning, conducting, and summarizing the workshop. Jon was a valued and trusted colleague through many years and I always appreciated his sound counsel and advice. Eternal peace be yours, Jon.
